  Mary Heinze DOWELL - Mary (Thomas) Heinze, 86, formerly of Palatine, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, in the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. She was born May 6, 1921, in Dowell, the daughter of Dan and Julia (Bobbish) Thomas. She was the loving mother of Christina Whitted and husband, Wendall, of Palatine and Patricia Polerecky and husband, William, of Arlington Heights; dear grandmother of Daniel and wife Emily, Jonathan and Lisa Whitted and Elizabeth and Lisa Polerecky; great-grandmother of Thomas; fond sister of Christina Gaerig and husband, John, of Red Bud; and dear aunt to Julie Gaerig of Murphysboro and John D. Gaerig and wife, Julie, of Berryville, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Dan and John Thomas. Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights, IL, 60004. Services will be private. Cremation Society of Illinois was in charge of arrangements.
